Project Description
Alma Ocean is creating a culture shift for the black and brown community in the water space.
We are the first Black-owned startup to design culturally-inspired inflatables pools, floats, and water accessories for all diverse communities to enjoy water activities. Our mission is to honor UNITY, CREATIVITY and DIVERSITY within the water community for adults and families.
THE PROBLEM
More representation remains to be unseen in the advertising of water products in the Black and Brown community. It's time for more encouragement in the water space and to start NORMALIZING BASIC SWIMMING SKILLS.
HOW WE SOLVE THE PROBLEM
- By designing CULTURALLY-INSPIRED pools, floats, kids floaties and water accessories we speak to all communities.
- Offering sustainable solutions with UPCYCLING services that transform old, used floats and pools into one-of-a-kind waterproof wearables and accessories.
- BUILDING A COMMUNITY around water activities for all to enjoy. Providing access to resources for water activities such as swimming lessons, surf lessons, local pools and water-friendly resorts.
THE OPPORTUNITY

With our tailored designs we speak to diverse cultures and ethnicities, Alma Ocean embraces diversity in the inflatable industry and water space. We are inspiring more communities to embrace swimming pools, beaches, and making it fun and safe for everyone!
WHY CROWDFUNDING
The designs are created, the patterns and shapes have been finalized. We are ready to manufacture and ship a wonderful variety of pools, floats, kids’ floaties and water accessories for all to enjoy Summer 2021.
We need your help!
Crowdfunding will enable us to hit the gas and go by producing this unique product offering and shipping by Spring 2021. All funds raised on the iFundWomen platform will be used for start-up logistics, manufacturing costs, marketing, and promotions to help us spread the word.

The Campaign FAQs
When will my reward items be shipped?
We will ship rewards once the project is fully funded and product has been manufactured.
All pool inflatables will be available in early spring/summer. The cool thing is, you will receive your inflatables before we launch our e-commerce store and have first dips to show out on your social media.
When will Alma Ocean Inflatables be available to purchase?
Our goal is to launch in the early spring/summer of 2021.
Where was Alma Ocean started?
We are located in Orlando, Florida.
Will there be more patterns and styles?
Yes! We will release more patterns during our manufacturing process.
What will be the price range for the inflatables?
Large Tube float - estimated price range $30-$40
Inflatable pool - estimated price range $55-$65
Kiddie arm Floatie - $20-$25
Animal floats - $40-$50
What kind of animal floats will you have?
A peacock, duck, camel, and even the first black unicorn!

A little history on our OG leaf float, this one is special to us. We asked our designer to give us something that speaks to culture. He looked up leaf patterns in Africa and BOOM, low and behold the OG leaf float was born.
We call this float OG because Its original and unique design left us with no choice but to put it at the top of our list.
