An e-commerce based book + food subscription box program with social good at its core. Available four times a year, our Read It & Eat subscription box focuses on everything foodie and bookish. We believe in supporting small businesses, family businesses, and BIPOC food entrepreneurs. We also believe in giving back and our box program also has a donation component
I opened this business May 2020 and moved to an e-commerce model because of the pandemic. I would like in the next 7 - 10 years to grow to a brick and mortar location in Buffalo, NY. I want to create a space that serves as a bookstore but also has some kind of full test kitchen and demonstration space so other small businesses can use the space to teach classes, workshops, and we can continue to teach others about the benefits of supporting the local economy and local small businesses. Classes I could imagine would be bee keeping classes, starting your own victory garden, butchery classes, DIY workshops, candle making, anything.
