To celebrate International Women’s Day 2020, IFundWomen has teamed up with adidas to create opportunity and visibility for women in the sport industry. Through access to funding and expert coaching, we are jump-starting the next wave of women founders who are redefining sport.

Leveling the playing field

To launch the initiative, we hosted a kick-off event in New York City where nine pre-selected grant recipients gathered for an intensive two-day workshop. Programming focused on identifying challenges, defining goals, and creating crowdfunding campaigns on the IFundWomen platform. Panel discussions with adidas athletes & leadership provided insight and inspiration. Each entrepreneur was equipped with the tools to raise capital and take their ideas to the next level, and each left the workshop with a newly-launched campaign page and initial investment on the platform.

The Reimagine Sport Grant Program

As part of the Reimagine Sport program, we held an open call for entrepreneurs to submit their ideas for the opportunity to receive funding from adidas and raise follow-on capital through their own IFW crowdfunding campaign. Together with the original nine entrepreneurs, we’re helping to support 15 businesses and we are inviting you to join us in funding these founders!

adidas believes that through sport we have the power to change lives. This includes creating opportunity and visibility for women in the sports industry, and during these unprecedented times, there’s more of a need now than ever before to support women business-owners. Through our partnership with adidas, 15 women entrepreneurs in the sports industry have been selected to receive the funding and continued coaching they need to succeed.
