Mission

The Social Room offers our guests an opportunity to make their event vision a reality in an upscale, affordable, and flexible space that believes in community, celebration, and family-oriented values. We strive to provide a welcoming environment where people can come together to celebrate, socialize, and connect.

 

Our Why

Finding an affordable, versatile, and secure venue for various events can be challenging, especially for families and small community groups. Many available spaces are either too expensive, not flexible enough to cater to different types of events, or lack a family-friendly atmosphere. The Social Room’s purpose is to remove some of the pressure and stress that often comes with event planning, and assist our guests with an aesthetic and upscale event space but with a realistic and affordable budget. 

 

Opportunity

The market opportunity for event spaces is sizable due to the increasing demand for flexible venues that can host a variety of events such as birthday parties, community events, weddings, corporate meetings, and the list goes on. Our focus on affordability and flexibility positions us to capture a significant share of this growing market and make booking an easy pain free process. You’ll be able to view and book the space virtually through online platforms or in person.

The Social Room offers a versatile space that is both affordable and flexible for our guests needs. By providing customizable rental packages and a growing variety of decor, we ensure that our venue can accommodate a wide range of events as we grow.

 

Funding Needs

We are seeking funding to cover initial operating expenses as we establish our presence in the market and build a loyal customer base or guest list as we like to call it. 

In order to achieve the goal, we would need to:

  • Secure a rental space 
  • Enhance the space to meet functional, safety, and aesthetic standards 
  • Purchase additional equipment and furnishings to provide a more versatile and comfortable experience for our clients
  • Invest in marketing efforts to increase awareness and attract more bookings
  • Develop community outreach programs to engage local families and organizations.

 

Our Team

The Social Room team is made up of 3 dedicated family members who bring diverse skills and experiences to the business

  • Kierrah (Myself) : Founder and Manager. A mother and educator with a passion for community building and event planning.
  • Gina: An experienced accountant, she brings financial expertise and ensures the business operations are efficient and sustainable.
  • Christopher: A military veteran with a background in logistics fit to oversee the logistical aspects of the business, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service with prospective vendors.
