Hi, I’m Troia Ruffin, founder of Shay Mocha Photography. I started this journey as a young girl inspired by my late grandmother, who taught me that photos are cherished memories we can keep forever. Shay Mocha Photography was born from a lifelong passion for capturing meaningful moments. I officially launched my business after leaving my corporate career due to health issues, including a recent brain surgery. Photography has been my way to connect with others, celebrate life, and give back to my community.
Our mission at Shay Mocha Photography is simple: make beautiful, high-quality photography accessible to everyone. We serve families, couples, students, and others in our community who might not have the budget for costly photoshoots, yet deserve stunning images they can treasure. Currently, I’m pursuing a degree in digital photography from Southern New Hampshire University to bring even more skill and artistry to my work.
With your support, I aim to expand Shay Mocha Photography by creating a small studio space and investing in new equipment, like upgraded cameras, lenses, lighting, and backdrops. This will allow me to offer indoor and outdoor sessions, creative portraits, and themed shoots—flexible enough to meet any client’s vision. My goal is to increase my bookings by 30% and give back through community events and special discounts.
