Project Description
Hello! I’m a married mother of four from Lafayette, Indiana who dreamed up Just Littles™ Play Café out of a personal need. As a parent, I longed for a safe, enriching place for my little ones to play and a chance for me to relax and connect with other adults. Just Littles is designed for children 0–5 to learn, laugh, and explore, while parents and caregivers enjoy a cozy coffee area to unwind and build community. Think of it as a home away from home for families like ours.
Our mission is twofold: give young kids a fun environment that supports their development, and give parents a welcoming spot to recharge and find their village. Having felt isolated during my early parenting years, I know how important a supportive community is. At Just Littles, little ones will gain social skills and make new friends, and grown-ups will find camaraderie and a much-needed moment of rest.
To open the doors of Just Littles Play Café, I’m asking for your support in raising $40,000. This funding will cover the essentials – rent for the venue, soft play equipment and safety mats, insurance and permits, and the setup of our coffee bar and comfy seating. These are the building blocks needed to create a high-quality, safe, welcoming space for everyone.
Your contribution will help a mom entrepreneur bring this much-needed resource to Lafayette and create a true community hub for families. Just Littles™ Play Café is a safe, cozy space in Lafayette, Indiana where kids (ages 0–5) can play freely while parents relax, sip their favorite beverage, and connect with other families. We’re building a space that feels like home — just with more slides.
❓Where will the money go?
Your donations will help fund:
• Lease deposit and rent
• Renovations and equipment installation
• Soft play structures and baby areas
• Furniture, coffee bar, and café setup
• Inventory (snacks, coffee, play materials)
• Licenses, insurance, tech setup, and launch marketing
We need $35,000–$40,000 to open our doors this fall.
❓When will the café open?
We’re planning a soft open on October 3, 2025, with a grand opening celebration on October 6, 2025.
❓What if you don’t reach your goal?
Every dollar counts. Even if we don’t reach our full goal, funds will still go toward making Just Littles™ Play Café a reality — starting smaller if needed and growing from there.
❓Can I make a donation without selecting a reward?
Absolutely! When you donate, you’ll have the option to choose “no reward” if you'd simply like to support the cause.
❓Are donations tax-deductible?
No, donations to this campaign are not tax-deductible, as Just Littles™ is a for-profit small business.
