My name is Carol Dorn, owner of Glopaul Media, a production company looking to grow and move to Danbury CT to build an affordable infinity green screen film studio. I’ve chosen Danbury because it is located within union jurisdictions for day rates so that producers don’t have to pay per diems, hotel expenses etc. and for it’s affordable real estate; Thereby making it very competitive.
I’ve been in the business for over 30 years and know there have been no real opportunities for women film makers to get the experience of filming in a real green screen studio to develop their projects and yet Wonder Woman’s wild success is proof that there is indeed a market for this. Not only will there be studio rental opportunities but classes will be taught in acting, directing and screenwriting for all ages and a highly rated technical school (Henry Abott Technical school) has asked to do all of the CGI & special effects for the student films making them qualified to compete in film festivals.
The amount I am asking for here is to secure the property that is ideal and falls in the mile marker required. Originally we had an angel investor all lined up but lost them to the hurricane tragedies down south. So we now find ourselves in a race against time to secure the property and meet our “open for business” deadline that has already been published. The remainder of funds raised will go towards the equipment such as 4k live streaming, an avid editing suite so we can still meet our commitment to what has been promised.
