I am a writer/director who started as an actress. Instead of waitressing, like every other actress, I decided to become a tech person because I knew, for the long run, I'd rather always be working in the film and theatre world learning everything I could. I knew this was important because I wasn't fitting in the popular mold of blonde, skinny and heterosexual. This really worked to my advantage as I got to work with some amazing legends in the business and have done every job from front of house, box office, company managing, stage managing AEA, gaffer, set designer, lighting designer, sound designer, sound mixer, B camera op, editor, director, screenwriter & playwright, and field reporter to actor. I have done this for Bravo, NBC, New Line/Fine Line, Universal, Juilliard, Lincoln Center, and Williamstown Theatre Festival, and National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. I forgot to mention I am also a cellist.
