Help me to achieve my dream
Hi, my name is Michelle Wawire, and I'm excited to share my journey and ask for your support as I work toward becoming a professional pilot. In September of 2021, I began my aviation journey at Pharmaflight Flight School in Hungary, pursuing an integrated program in Professional Piloting and Aviation Engineering.
Unfortunately, I faced a significant challenge during my time abroad- I was diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia when I did my initial class 1 medical certificate upon arrival. Despite consistent treatment in the past three years consisting of prescribed supplements, hematologist consultations and even iron drip injections, my levels still weren’t improving to the Aeromedical standards. Furthermore, the environment wasn’t conducive for significant improvement due to the low altitude and low nutritional food options.
In October of 2024, I returned home to Kenya, where the higher altitude and nutritious food options have significantly improved my condition. This has enabled me to take another step toward fulfilling my dream. I’d like to rejoin a flight school here in Nairobi (Kenya School of Flying, one of the top flight training institutions in East Africa) to pursue & complete my flight training in order to realize my dream.
Why I need your help
Becoming a pilot has always been my dream, and your support will enable me to make it a reality. With the resources I've found in Kenya, I am now better equipped to excel in my training and contribute to Kenya's aviation industry, which is steadily growing. However, the financial burden of this program is significant, and I cannot achieve it alone.

PPL ground school and flight training: $13587
CPL ground school and flight training: $34256
Multi/IR Ratings: $15730
PPL accommodation in Malindi 180 days: $2880
CPL accommodation in Malindi 360 days: $5760
Charges are 16USD per day for accommodation
Application: evaluation/assessment fee 780 USD with free accommodation for a week in Orly
Annual Personal Accident Cover Cost: $USD 600 (for two years $1200)
Platform fees (5%) & Payment Processing fees (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction): $5861.21
Total cost: $80,054.26 ( $81,000 )
