Elevate will be the first coworking space in Wilmington designed for women by women.
We'll offer a productive workspace for female entrepreneurs and key resources like an encouraging community, a photo studio, and childcare onsite!
Research shows there has been a massive influx of people starting new businesses from home since the pandemic -5.4 Million in 2021 alone!! Whew! Many of these new business owners need our support.
While Wilmington offers a few coworking options, none offer the amenities catering to the work/life balance that's unique to women, especially moms.
Our goal is to create the foundational space (that's not at home!) to help entrepreneurs thrive in business and life. Currently, we identify 3 main problems when working from home that make growing a business more difficult.
1. Distractions are a real problem when working from home, it's just way too easy to get sidetracked.
2. Working parents have to juggle the childcare portion too! Studies show us this is more often women than men.
3. Lastly, those first years in business are definitely a make it or break it period. It can be confusing trying to decide what is a 'needle-mover' task and how to grow to the next level.
That's where Elevate comes in. We're solving all these problems under 1 roof. The education + business community you've been looking for, right where you work, all while your children are being cared for.
AMENITIES:
We're offering the resources we know female entrepreneurs need when running a business.
- A fun workspace you can be productive in and check off some of those big business to-do's
- Childcare on site. Need I say more? Let someone else get the kids *another* snack
- A Creative Community of other Female Entrepreneurs to talk life and business with.

- Workshops and Events to help Small Businesses grow during those crucial first few years in businesses
- Plans to add mentorship programs and even offer small capital loans for women-owned businesses after we open
- Last but not least, plenty of free coffee to keep you working! Always hot and ready.
FUNDRAISING GOALS:
We are seeking funding of 50k to help build, furnish and open our first space here in Wilmington, NC.
While we have some initial funds secured already, we are looking for more financial support to make this space a reality. Have a look through our Rewards Choices, we even have the opportunity for you to donate a membership to someone who can benefit from this space!

Founder Maggie Blackham (below) is a small business owner and toddler mom. She believes women can have it all with the right support. Coming from a long line of entrepreneurs (4 generations in fact!), she intimately knows what it's like to juggle a family life while running a business. She's so passionate to see this space come to life for our Wilmington Community.
