Our Company and Solution

Blush Book Lounge is a romance bookstore and wine bar that will be located in Modesto, CA. We solve the problem of limited safe, welcoming spaces for women by providing a boutique experience that blends reading and wine tasting. Our intimate, well-curated selection of romance novels and premium wines creates an experience that encourages relaxation, connection, and creativity. We offer light snacks, including gourmet cheeses and charcuterie items, paired perfectly with wine, enhancing the sensory experience for our customers.

Why We Are Seeking Funding

We are seeking funding to cover initial startup costs, and the creation of a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The funds will also go toward marketing efforts to build our brand, as well as staff training to ensure our team provides exceptional service. This investment will help us create the perfect environment for our patrons and ensure a seamless customer experience from day one. We hope to open our doors in early 2025.

Our Team

Blush Book Lounge is led by Jazmyn Kwasigroch, the general manager, who brings over a decade-long passion for romance literature and 10 years of experience working in customer-facing positions. In addition, Jazmyn has developed a keen understanding of high-quality wines over the past five years through regular visits to renowned wine regions like Napa, Lodi, and Sonoma. Her expertise in both romance literature and wine ensures a unique and welcoming experience for every patron. Jazmyn will oversee a team of four part-time staff who assist customers with book selections, customer service, beverage preparation, and event support.
