Your Routine: Where Self-Care Meets Indulgence

100% Black woman-owned, Your Routine is an online retailer of Black-owned skincare, health and wellness products; offering an intentionally curated line of skincare products tailored to the divine femininity of blackness and the needs of Black skin.

OUR STORY: 

Before 2020’s very delayed and well-deserved boom in the consumption Black-owned goods and services, I suffered from an ill-formed, ineffective skincare routine-- and I definitely did not have an inkling of a body care routine. It was during this year that I realized the products missing from my life were products made with ME in mind.

My “routine” prior to this revelation felt like a chore -- not something I looked forward to, but something I tried really hard not to forget. It wasn’t until I saw almost immediate results from Black-owned skincare products tailored to the needs of Black skin that I realized consistency was encouraged by results. 

Your Routine should be intentional. Your Routine should serve you, and you specifically. Your Routine should not feel like a chore and this routine won’t.

THE FACTS:

According to Statista, In the category of cosmetics and personal care, skin care lead in sales in 2020, coming second only to soap.

In 2020, Black Americans spent more on health and beauty products than they did on groceries.

Black consumers:

• Spend 9x more on ethnic hair and beauty products than non-Black consumers
• Make up 85% of the overall market for ethnic hair and beauty sales
• Are 37% more likely to buy from mission-based brands that take a stance on current events

PowerReviews surveyed 10,646 active beauty consumers across the nation and 50% of consumers, regardless of their identifying race, say they plan to actively seek out beauty products made by Black-owned beauty brands.

HOW WE FIT IN:

Competing brands are lacking what we make up for in intent and customization. While there are online retailers prioritizing the sale of Black-owned skincare products, as well as a number of Black-owned skincare brands that market their products as a routine, there is not a marketplace for both; At Your Routine, consumers are given the opportunity to support and try several Black-owned brands in one place, while additionally being able to build a customizable routine that has proven functionality for their skin concerns.
