We’re revolutionizing how clothing is recycled and revived. Xchange Fashion is a platform for conscious people who care about reducing textile waste.
Fashion is a form of self-expression that’s fluid. Our styles could change depending on the season, trends, occasion, and our mood. Instead of restricting creativity, let’s give people the option to try different looks and clear out what no longer suits them. Our app offers a more mindful way to celebrate uniqueness through fashion while building community and giving garments a new life.
The rise of fast fashion and declining garment quality have fueled a culture of overconsumption, leading to excessive waste that is harming our environment, polluting ecosystems, and infiltrating the human food chain.

Xchange Fashion is a mobile app for trading clothes. There’s only a monthly subscription fee to easily browse and exchange looks. Subscribers can list items they no longer need, search styles within their vicinity, and swipe to request a trade. When members agree on a swap, they arrange to meet up locally, which minimizes the carbon footprint of shipping packages.

What is Xchange Fashion?
This app is a clothing exchange platform where members can trade pre-loved pieces or ensembles within a community. It’s sustainable fashion made simple.
How does the exchange process work?
Members list items they no longer need, search styles within their vicinity, and swipe to request exchanges. When members agree on a swap, they arrange to meet up locally.
Is there a cost to use the app?
Members pay a monthly $9.99 subscription fee to easily browse and exchange looks. Some premium features—like access to The Vintage Closet or personal styling suggestions—will be available through a point system as future enhancements.
Can I sell items instead of trading them?
Xchange Fashion is for trading clothes, not resale. The value is having continuous access to an expanded closet so there are options to express yourself.
How do I know if an item will fit me?
Each listing will be categorized by product, size, color, gender, and occasion. You can message members for more details or photos as needed. Also check out the brand size converter that will be linked.
What if the item doesn't fit—can I return or exchange it?
Each clothing swap is as is. While there aren't returns, you can list the item for another exchange.
Are the clothes clean and in good condition?
Members are expected to list clean, gently-used items. Our community thrives on trust, and you can rate/report members who don't adhere to the guidelines. Quality curation is one of our core values.
How do I receive an item?
After a swap is confirmed, members coordinate a local exchange which reinforces our focus on sustainability.
Can I exchange items with someone in a different area?
Exchanges are only in person within a certain radius. However, we’re exploring environmentally conscious ways to expand communities and enable shipments with a low carbon footprint. Stay tuned!
How will the reward be delivered for my pledge?
The Xchange Fashion app release is targeted for December 2025, at which point membership will be granted along with a notification to all backers on how to install and use the platform. Your subscription will begin when you create your profile and expire according to the reward tier that was pledged (except for the lifetime membership with a $5,000 pledge). Thereafter, you can renew your subscription by paying the monthly fee.
