Woman Empowered

Lure Beauty is a restaurant that I want to open because I want to give people a safe space for them to meet people from a different culture but also for others to meet their culture. That’s right! I am meeting the Caribbean culture with the American culture. I believe through a warm, fresh, and welcoming atmosphere; a lot can happened. 

I was in my mother kitchen with my family and we were having dinner. I remember telling my family that I feel like everyone can connect thu food because after all a good bring everyone together and memories come back which bring us laughter and comfort. I was telling them my dream is to open a restaurant just like that and give the customers a safe space. My cousin respond and said “ woman belong in the kitchen, and taking care of kid; not trying to run a business”.  So, I am turning that negative energy into a woman’s business.

A restaurant cost a lot to start but we I will never give up trying. I found a space to start and I did end-up saving the down payment on the space but the problem is I don’t have enough to buy equipments and inventory. 

The equipment and inventory will start helping us bringing the food out to customers.

We are seeking this fund because I do have two kids a 4 years old and 2 years old so my regular income take care everything in the household. I managed to save the down payment on the space but it was getting too much for me. I will be spending the fund on equipments and inventory for the space.

My team right now is me and my parents that tried to help the best way their can but it’s just not possible. 

I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart! Life is about helping each other. I know helping me I will be able to pay it forward. I also believe woman sticking together makes us more powerful than their think. Thank you very much!.
