"Wine" Not?

East Sac Vino is a warm and casual wine bar located in the heart of East Sacramento. Our goal is to bring the wine country to East Sac while showcasing smaller wineries that you may not be familiar with. After you've allowed yourself to unwind a bit, feel free to make a friend or two. After all, we're more than just wine; we're a community.

We observed three problems that we want to solve:

•    East Sacramento is a thriving community but is underserved in quality wine offerings. 
•    Although Sacramento is close to wine regions like Lodi, Napa, & Amador, they are all a distance away, especially on weekdays.
•    People don't always want to go downtown or out of the neighborhood to enjoy a variety of quality wines.

From beginning wine drinkers to wine enthusiasts, East Sacramento residents love wine! It is a thriving neighborhood and an up-and-coming scene, but there aren't wine bars in the area. Because the pocket is prosperous, many people have the disposable income to enjoy wine. The average home sold in this area is $700k & the average income is $100k-$150k.

Why is this the best time for East Sac Vino? The wine industry is a vast market. In Sacramento, we are in the middle of so many wine regions, from the infamous Zinfandels of Lodi to the Pinot Noir territory in Sonoma County. East Sac Vino is a place where you can enjoy wine from smaller vineyards and get a variety of wines from various regions of California without going the distance. Our customers don't have to be a sommelier or travel far to enjoy learning and tasting wines from all over California.

We seek funding because we need to raise enough capital to cover the start-up expenses like leasing the location, tenant improvements, inventory, equipment, and furniture.

Ida Jackson is East Sac Vino's owner, sales, business manager, and account manager. Along with selecting the wines, she oversees the menu of inventive and shareable dishes that complement the diverse wine. When not at East Sac Vino, Ida enjoys spending time with her one-year-old son, Zealand, & her husband, Rob, or exploring new wineries and eateries. She is a member of the East Sacramento Chamber of Commerce and has excellent relationships with the Chamber's board members and the wineries she will be featuring. Ida works closely and continues to grow her knowledge and resources with the Northern California Small Business Development Center because they focus on advising small business clients. In addition to her family, friends, and community members, she has the support of her business advisor, who owns and operates a wine bar and bistro with four locations between San Francisco and New York City. Featured in Forbes, Michelin, and the New York Times "52 Places To Go", he is also a wine producer (Domaine du Somail, France & Malbec Mendoza, Argentina) and is a certified sommelier.

As an African American woman, the wine bar owners in Sacramento are not very diverse. We want to show other people of color, especially women, that you can break glass ceilings & interrupt the idea of what successful business owners look like in the wine industry. This small business will thrive, not because of the quality customer service and the world-class wine experience, but because of the support of the East Sac community.
