In 2021, mid-global pandemic, struggling to remember who I was outside of being somebody's mom, I grabbed a book with a cute cover at Target and took it home. I read it cover to cover in 2 days and the rest is history.
Fast forward to today. Despite knowing an immense amount of women who read in my community, there isn't a single indie bookshop to find *our* books. Women get so much shit for reading any genre we choose to read and we deserve a space to shop for books and hang with the girls without wandering eyes and unwarranted opinions. So I bring you Wildflower Fiction. OUR book store. In a trailer! Moving around town whenever it feels right!
We'll read all the books they said were stupid and heal our inner girlie together. Shelves and shelves of women's fiction, romance & the in-betweens.
Wildflower Fiction will be a safe space, where all are welcome, of course. You have my word for it.
I'm hoping to raise enough funds to purchase the trailer, materials to transform it (which I'll do myself with help from family) and the first stock of books for the shelves.
In the future, I hope there will be a brick and mortar sister store where book clubs can meet, etc.
Don't live local to the Tri-Cities and not sure you'll ever get to shop at Wildflower? No problem! We'll have a shipping option as well so you can get great book straight to your door!
Okay, let's do this!
All my love! - B
