Wildfire Relief Program
California needs your continued support this devastating wildfire season!

Project Description
My name is Chelsea Sanabria, and I am COO and Vice President of Lemon Aide Project, a 501c3 non-profit organization based out of California. Our organization was founded with the mission to provide relief to the poor, distressed, and underprivileged through fundraising and distributing aid to indigent recipients who request funds for temporary emergency assistance.
While wildfires are a normal part of California’s history, the fire season in California and across the West is starting earlier and ending later each year. Climate change is considered a key driver of this trend. We have seen fires already start this year. Last year was record breaking and over FOUR MILLION acres burned our entire state. This grim milestone only shows a predicted forecast that we must brace and prepare for. This is where we step in.
My family and I lost our home in the 2017 Tubb’s Fire, and it is absolutely devastating to think of how many people are going through this painful experience right now, and how many will in the days, weeks, months, and YEARS to come. We got through it with the love, support, and generous donations from our family, friends, and community, and I am ready to show that compassion and generosity back to those who need it most, and that is why I am so passionate about our Wildfire Assistance Program.
Lemon Aide Project’s Wildfire Relief Program is currently collecting donations from our communities in the form of cash, gift cards, clothing & shoes, unopened toiletries, pet supplies, baby supplies, non-perishable food items, and household items (for those who lost their homes and are starting over from nothing). We have been continuously receiving a huge downpour of support for this program, and have partnered with a local storage facility who is assisting us in storing these donations as we collect and distribute them. These donations will be distributed directly to evacuees, and to those who have (or will) lose their homes.
Our current most immediate need ismonetary donations. The money raised for this fund will go directly towards:
• Securing shelter for low-income families and individuals who are evacuated
• Securing temporary housing for those who have tragically lost their homes.
• Providing food, toiletries, and baby and pet supplies for evacuees, as the majority of donations from our communities are clothing items
We provide assistance to all individuals and families residing in the state of California.
These needs are dire for advancing and maintaining wellness in our communities during these unpredictable and trying times, and they are both immediate and long term in our state. Lemon Aide Project is determined to ease these burdens as much as possible and power our communities through these dark times.
