Project Description
We Sparkle Co. is the go to platform for people who want to start and run their businesses online. We are building a stronger + more inclusive economy by equipping underestimated entrepreneurs with the AI-powered software tools they need to succeed now and into the future. Our business starter kit includes: Sparkle Site, Scheduler, and Assistant.
Right now, small business owners waste about 68% of their time on repetitive administrative tasks. They feel like they're working "in" their business instead of "on" their business.
We want to help small business owners because they make up over 90% of all businesses in the U.S. In fact, there are approximately 51 million solopreneurs in the U.S. and 99 million globally--and that number is on the rise, with a record-breaking 5.4 million new businesses started in the U.S. alone in 2021!
That's why We Sparkle created our business starter kit to help them save time + increase sales. It's a suite of software tools that makes it easy to start and run your own business! Our Sparkle Site, Scheduler, and Assistant will have you selling (and automatically upselling) your products or services in no time!
We are seeking funding to create special We Sparkle QR Code Kits to send to all our small business subscribers so that they can be ready to make sales using contactless payment at farmers markets, popup events, fairs, and festivals this summer, fall, and into the future! We also plan to use a portion of the funding for scholarships granted to women and/or BIPOC business owners who cannot afford a We Sparkle subscription at this time due to hardships brought on by the pandemic.
Our team consists of four full-time team members: Michelle Tran Maryns (Chief Executive Officer), Nick Weber (Chief Technology Officer), Melissa Gutierrez Nelson (Head of Community), and Aucouer Ngo (Software Engineer). We're passionate about helping small business owners, especially women entrepreneurs, because we personally witnessed the challenges that our own mothers (or other loved ones) faced when trying to start or run their businesses.

- When will I receive my rewards?
- We plan to mail out rewards as soon as the campaign closes. For digital rewards, we will email them as soon as the campaign closes.
- How does We Sparkle help women entrepreneurs?
- We Sparkle provides easy-to-use software tools (Sparkle Site, Scheduler & Assistant) that help women entrepreneurs save time and increase sales. Sparkle Site makes it easy for them to display their products and services for sale. Sparkle Scheduler makes it easy for their clients to book and pay for appointments, classes, or events with them. Sparkle Assistant answers customer questions via text message, Facebook Messenger, or a chat widget installed on their business website.
- What will the funds be used to do?
- The funds will be used to create QR Code Kits that will be sent to Sparklers so their customers can easily scan their QR code to order and pay for their products or services at farmers markets, popup events, fairs, and festivals. It will also be used to fund scholarships for women entrepreneurs who might not be able to afford a We Sparkle subscription at this time due to hardships brought on by the pandemic.
