Why does The Abingdon Watch Company exist?
The Abingdon Watch Company was created in 2007 when company founder and CEO, Abingdon Mullin, wanted to gift herself a aviation watch after she passed her pilot test. Much to her disappointment, she found that there were no pilot watches made for women. Therefore, with the help of fellow female pilots, she launched the company with the first two aviation styles, Jackie and Amelia. Fast forward fourteen years, and now The Abingdon Watch Company has developed women's watches in the aviation, scuba diving, automotive, and military industries.
Where are your watches made?
Watches are made of six parts: the case, movement, dial, hands, crystal, and strap. We source these parts in the best countries that make them and we like to say that each watch is as international as our customer base. For example, the movements come from Switzerland, Japan, or America. Hands and dials come from Taiwan. Straps come from Florida and Hong Kong. All of the parts come together in Las Vegas where they are final assembled and shipped direct to consumer.
