wA11y: Tech Education for Every Woman
Creating an accessible platform to teach underrepresented women tech skills. Help us expand inclusive tech education!

Project Description
Mission
At wA11y™, our mission is to ensure that no woman is left behind in the technology revolution. We’re creating a truly accessible learning ecosystem that empowers underrepresented women—those with disabilities, neurodivergence, caregiving responsibilities, or systemic barriers—to gain real‑world Web3 and tech skills and step confidently into rewarding careers.
The Problem
Traditional tech education often overlooks diverse needs and learning styles, leaving brilliant women stranded at the starting line. High costs, rigid formats, and inaccessible materials exclude thousands who could otherwise contribute meaningfully to the digital economy.
Market Opportunity
Women make up over 50% of the global population but hold less than 25% of tech roles—and far fewer in emerging Web3 fields. By 2027, the global e‑learning market is projected to exceed $400 billion. An accessible, inclusive platform that teaches high‑demand skills like UX, blockchain, AI, and Web3 taps into a vast, underserved audience while driving social impact.
Our Solution
wA11y™ will offer a 400‑hour UX Design course anchored in strong accessibility principles, plus a free introductory module and mini‑labs. Learners progress through:
- UX Design Expert (400 hours of self‑paced study, real‑world projects, and mentor feedback)
- Web3 Essentials: wallets, ENS, DAOs, and Gitcoin Passport
- Hands‑On Labs: interactive exercises to evaluate and improve real platform UX
- Personalized Support: stipends for internet, caregiving, and assistive tech
We’re also planning an AI‑driven adaptive layer (ALMA™) in partnership with specialists to personalize each learner’s journey.
Why We’re Seeking Funding
We need $25,000 to:
- Hire expert Web3 & accessibility educators to co-create our 400‑hour curriculum
- Develop platform features: captions, screen‑reader compatibility, ASL interpretation, interactive checklists, and multi-language support (EN, FR-CA, PT-BR, SP, TL, UK)
- Produce polished video lessons, quizzes, and labs
- Offer meaningful stipends so financial or caregiving barriers don’t block participation
- Launch our free onboarding mini‑course, UX mini‑lab, and Gitcoin Passport checklist
Your support will move us from prototype to our first 50‑learner pilot, complete the full UX course build, and validate our model for broader rollout.
Our Team
- Claudia Kich, Founder & UX Lead: 20 years in accessible design
- AI Specialist (TBA): to architect and build ALMA™
- Advisors: senior blockchain developer, accessibility advocate, community organizer
