VampIt Fashion App Launch & Community Event

VampIt is a Fashion platform that supports emerging fashion Designers and Stylists by building a community of underrepresented brands and individuals.

VampIt’s mission is to become the go-to platform for custom and personalized attire while providing resources to emerging fashion designers and stylists.  

The problem we aim to solve is that the fashion industry is exclusive and does not provide a robust platform and resources for up-and-coming designers and stylists to build their brands and to connect directly with their customers, specifically for attire. 

We aim to build an inclusive community where consumers can discover local designers and stylists and bring their custom designs and vision to life. 

We are solving this problem specifically by providing a better tool and platform for designers and stylists to connect directly with their customers, generate additional revenue, and build brand awareness. 

Our Market Size is huge! The market size, measured by revenue, of the Fashion Designers industry was $3.0bn in 2022.

According to a report by ResearchAndMarkets, the global virtual styling market size is expected to grow from USD 3.5 billion in 2021 to USD 11.8 billion by 2026 which will provide even more opportunities for personal stylists in the future.

There are very few platforms that allow consumers to connect directly with designers and/or Stylists to bring their custom designs and visions to life by communicating their desired fabrics, measurements, budget, and details about a special occasion or event. 

Our Potential Competitors: 

Etsy, Depop, Poshmark, Fiverr. 

Etsy is targeted more towards DIY/handmade items that are not limited to clothing, as users can have a profile for numerous handmade items.

Fiverr is more for online professional services, but we can see this company adopting Fashion Styling Services and Fashion Design in the future.

Depop and Poshmark are well-known fashion apps made for second-hand and re-sell attire.

Our long-term goal is to become as big as our competitors and become the leading platform for custom and personalized attire for emerging designers and stylists. We plan to improve our marketing strategies and connect with local fashion communities to achieve this goal.

🎉 We’re raising for the first time, ever! 🎉 

This fundraiser will help assist with our mobile application development for iOS and Android, as we are currently half way through and need $10K left to fund this. 

While communicating with our developers and community during consumer research, we know that we will have future app versions and will need to design additional UX design screens for frontend and backend work, hosting fees, etc. A lot comes with building an app, we don’t expect the first go round to be perfect, but we hope it to be functional and up to our community’s standards. 

People are always asking if this app is available to download in the app and we have had challenges funding everything ourselves out of pocket. We are excited to launch but we need help from our community. We would be super grateful to be launched and at least have one version that we can improve going forward. 

We are also raising to support our upcoming Fashion Community Event on February 25th, 2024. We will be supporting 8 local Detroit Fashion Designers, Stylists, and Models. We hope to bring the fashion community together, and hope to have raised enough to have our app launched by the time of this event. This event is in need of a DJ, small decorations, food, etc. The main pieces of this event are coming together, and we hope to see you there!
