I am pleased to say that we have reached our goal! THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE!!! Ok, I know it does not reflect this online, but as you can guess, people have donated to me directly.
I have now been able to complete the research trip to Spain! During my time there, I traveled to Madrid, Murcia and Valencia. I met with two aficionados (those who absolutely love bullfighting), connected with a producer, interviewed a matador (Rafael Rubio "Rafaelillo") and an award-winning author on women in the bullring (Muriel Feiner), visited a bullfighting school (José Cubero "Yiyo" in Madrid), checked out a bullfighting museum (Museo Taurino, Valencia), did research at a bullfighting library (José Maria de Cossío) and a library (Libería Rodríguez) and saw two bullfights. Above all, I made contact with a torera (a female bullfighter; a novillera), who I am hoping to profile in this documentary entitled "Las Matadoras."
So what's next?
Over August, I will be reviewing the footage shot to create the two-minute trailer to show to investors. From there, we'll be in a better position to GET THIS FILM MADE!!!
