Sapphire Stubbs is an established cultural strategist with over 15 years of experience working with creative outfits to maximize efficiencies and build brand equity. After forging an impactful career within art and entertainment she founded general population—a marketing studio for creative companies in 2022. Inspired by the ever-evolving landscape of the industry, Sapphire’s deep understanding of the transformative power of quality content has led the agency to collaborate with industry heavyweights such as Pharrell Williams, Ziwe and Jimmy Kimmel’s agency Wheelhouse.

As Principal & Founder, Sapphire works closely with creative companies to develop synergy across all functions of marketing to drive culturally connected initiatives that increase awareness, drive revenue, and put amazing art into the world with empathy at its core. Prior to founding general population, Sapphire held roles at Def Jam, Complex, 300, IMG, and Racquet Magazine leading strategy for projects with adidas, Tashashi Murakami, Meg Thee Stallion, Rami Malek, Naomi Osaka, Chance The Rapper, and Wimbledon. Sapphire received her B.A. in Communications from Temple University with a concentration in telecommunications and mass media.
