It's been a while since I last popped on but I wanted to take the time to send out a HUGE thank you to those who contributed to this campaign!
While the goal wasn't met it was still a success. With the funds we're able to secure the venue and build out art walls for the exhibition. The exhibit is called When Our Sun Rises and it set to take place at the Distribution Hall in Austin on Sept 10!
This week we finished our promotional kit and emailed artists to start gathering their work. Over the next couple weeks we're securing partners and building our art walls!
I keep saying we because I hired an intern part-time who is now supporting many of the ongoing projects at Tawa Threads. Her name is Kea and you'll get to see and hear more from here on our social media platforms!
