Updates and $17K!

There’s a lot happening with the campaign this week that I want to let you all know about, but first, I need to say a huge thank you to all our donors from yesterday and last night who took us to and over the $17k mark! Thank you so so much:

  • Kiandra07
  • Christina K.
  • Adel L. M.
  • Mfoniso U.
  • Melynda B. O.

The continued support of this campaign is so needed and so appreciated. I cannot thank you all enough.

Now, for those updates I mentioned. I’ll be hosting a virtual Elizabeth's Daughter exhibit at #CAMPNXT (founded by AfricaNXT  @ngoziodita)  today and Thursday, using it to raise funds for the ongoing Elizabeth’s Daughter campaign.

I’m actually also co-presenting a talk with Victoria-Idongesit Udondian, Interdisciplinary Artist and 2020 Guggenheim Fellow, on our interdisciplinary work and the challenges of making and presenting work at home and abroad. Best of all, it’s FREE. Register here.

African/Caribbean-American fellow artist Elton Leonard  (@thepeoplesartist.ny) has graciously agreed to donate a few of his pieces as rewards for my donors. Those will be up on the campaign page later today or tomorrow.

Now, not only do you have the chance to score some art with your donations, but a very generous donor has agreed to match all donations made today and tomorrow (Thursday April 8th, 2021) up to $1,000.

Come check out the exhibit. Camp NXT is free to register for the event, but you must register in order to gain access.

It is so exciting to see all thee things coming together as we drive closer and closer to our $30k goal.

All best,

Iquo
