WORDS FROM OUR COMMUNITY // Liliana & Clair

"To truly express what GOODBODYFEEL means to me I would need to write pages and pages. I feel this training has been instrumental in my mental, physical and emotional health for the last 10 months, and will impact me for the rest of my life. I was amazed to witness and experience how movement happens, even when you don’t move your body, and that mindful movement of your body means movement within, healing, self-care, growth and connection to your essence, in ways you didn’t even imagine. I have spent countless hours learning and practicing self-care, mindfulness and meditation for almost 30 years, but never thought to become a movement teacher. This beautiful opportunity to merge these two worlds has been exciting, meaningful, deep and challenging, because change and growth are not smooth and easy, but wonderful."

"The GOODBODYFEEL training has changed my life in many ways. It has given me tools to sit in uncomfortable feelings and transform them. I have been given tools of how to protect, nourish and celebrate my body. Its framework is rooted in anti-oppression and accessibility, and I am still deepening my understanding of that work today. I am furthering my education of trauma informed movement, introduced to me by GBF. Here is a space where I was allowed to feel all my feelings, and examine my shame, guilt and still hold compassion towards myself. I am forever in deep gratitude for the new friends and community I have met through the studio. I was embraced as a Black queer person and encouraged to step into my gifts and merge my practices with the method I was taught here. I like to say that this training is like the art school experience I always wanted to have. It is truly an embodied training, and you will find yourself newer and uncompromising but more able to access your strengths and gentleness. "
