According to the Public Policy Institute of California, 27% of California’s population in 2022 were immigrants, which is the highest percentage in the United States. More than half of this population is between 25 and 54 years of age, comprising one-third of prime working adults in California.

Many skilled young talents have arrived in Southern California but cannot achieve quality lives due to either poverty or lack of knowledge on how to integrate into society. They have challenges such as language barriers, credential recognition issues, and access to opportunities that can impact the extent to which immigrants can fully utilize their skills in the labor market.

At AFICPE, our mission is guided by a vision of interconnected humanity, where all individuals, peoples, and communities work toward cherishing diversity, establishing social justice, and fostering a peaceful, amicable world. With this mission, we are determined to help this community find the best ground to further utilize their skills and grow within the community through education, creating networking opportunities, and helping them gain access to professional tools and experienced resources to thrive and grow within the community, thereby enhancing the community.

These funds will help us engage educators and subject matter experts to help individuals either gain the right education or access the tools they need.

We are a women-operated organization, and our team consists of a few university instructors and business development experts with access to a community network, which mostly consists of highly educated immigrants in Southern California
