Project Description
Our mission is to support our community on their emotional exploration journey by providing resources, data visualization tools, and an inclusive, welcoming community.
Why crying?
At Tracking My Tears, we believe that crying is a near universal experience with the power to connect us all. Each person has a very personal and unique relationship to their tears. When tears show up during new emotions or new experiences, it can be daunting to figure out what they mean. Crying is often something we have to explore on our own, but it shouldn't be lonely.
While we feel like there's not a single person who doesn't benefit from tracking their tears, we know that the people who will benefit most from this are those are invested in their emotional journey, open to learning new things about themselves, and curious about how one of the most universal emotional reactions affects all uniquely.
How is Tracking My Tears Different from other apps?
Unlike other apps in the mental health and wellbeing market, Tracking My Tears focuses on one reaction 😭 across a spectrum of emotions and reactions. For many people, this focus can be a crucial first step to a successful emotional regulation strategy.
A report by Grandview Research from Feb 2022 predicts that the Mental Health App market will grow to be worth $17.5 billion by 2030. Tracking My Tears is excited to make a name for ourselves and continue to grow with this market.
Who is on the team?
Trinity, Founder and CEO, is a social worker from the St. Louis metro area. She has been tracking her tears for almost four years.
Erin Ashcraft, Chief Creative Officer, is a wildly talented, professional artist with a passion for color.
How will we use the funds?
We’re seeking funding to cover the costs for another round of app developments. With over 10,000 users on the app we have heard a lot of feedback about ways to improve the features and user experience. These funds will be put towards improving the Tracker and building out additional data points for user interaction. We will also use a percentage of the funds to cover operational costs so that Tracking My Tears can continue operating debt-free.
