Project Description
Hello! I am Nyla, the 16 year old behind TNTED (pronounced tinted).
I am looking to raise money to help fulfill my vision. Which is to create a clothing brand to help empower dark and browned skinned women by fighting colorism and making dark skin beautiful. Nude-colored clothing for woman of color is very scarce and sometimes non-existent in the fashion industry. We are looking to supply the demand of darker nude shade clothing.
Nude is NOT a color. It's a shade that matches that of the wearers skin tone. TNTED is in no way discriminating against lighter shades. However due to the scarcity of nudes in darker shades, we are primarily focused on filling this gap in the market for black woman. Ages will vary from 16-25+
Due to the price of bulk production of the clothing, we where not able to continue the production process. This money will be used for everything from tech packs, to samples, to fabrics, to most importantly bulk production. Which can cost from 5 to 10 grand.
I am Nyla Tamin, the 16 year old CEO behind TNTED. Everything is done by me with the help of my parents and my manufactures. My father, Dominic Tamin, is my business advisor. While my mother, Aishah Ferguson, is my editor. I draw the sketches, strategically choose the fabrics, create specifications, check the samples, choose models, handle all product photo and video shoots, photoshop the photos, edit the videos, and handle marketing on all social media platforms. Not only do I do the creative side, I also do the business side. I've trademarked my name without a lawyer. I've registered my name in my state and in the U.S. I've done a 6 page business plan with more than 20 contents. I've applied for an EIN and with this EIN I was able to open a business bank account.

- When is the expected release?
If we reach my goal within the next three months, I plan to release the summer collection by late summer. Otherwise early fall
- Who do we sell to?
Our brand does not discriminate. Nude is not a specific color. It a shade in which resembles that of the wearer’s skin tone. However, due to the scarcity of nude shades for black women, we are primarily focused on darker shades of melanin. Our ages vary from 16-25+
