Project Description
We are an organic loose leaf tea company developed in the heart of Oakland by educator and tea connoisseur, Kamilah Mitchell. She created these tea blends to nourish the community and promote understanding of knowing your ingredients without compromising taste. With tea blends like Cheers, Prototype, La Luna, and Sunrise, each blend is filled with antioxidants and various health benefits ranging from anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and immune-boosting properties.
As a small business in Oakland, CA, the cost of growth for a business includes brand strategy, team building, intentional marketing, and quality product. Until now, tea orders and business comes on the budgeting of the cost of living, which limits our growth. By purchasing bulk supplies and establishing a strong business structure and presence, we would be able to grow and maintain the path of becoming a sustainable business.
The research shows that tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world. And the same statistics identify black women in the tea business well below 7%.
