2020 started off as the year of vision and purpose. Our goal was to connect with our customers on a deeper level than ever before. Plans of intentional gatherings and events were on the horizon. Entering March, the month dedicated to women we were expecting to close the lease on our brick & mortar flagship store in addition to celebrating the women who wear our brand on a daily basis. Our first customer appreciation event End of a Decade Photoshoot was our kick-off. We had no idea how or when the virus that was ravenging China was going to affect us.  One week later we are forced to close our business doors, and ordered to Shelter In Place indefinitely.
 

How can I make a healthy contribution to the world? This is what I have been asking myself for the last few weeks! We decided to make do with what we have.

I went into design mode and made the first prototype after a week of testing. We finally achieved the perfect fit. Inspired by the Kotton Collection we felt the need to use fabric and colors that were bold, washable, wearable and neutral in fit and style.

A Collection that celebrates African-American historical contributions to world development by reclaiming a symbol of pain to transform it into a symbol of pride, with unconditional gratitude. Following in the footsteps of our ancestors we are now challenged to turn pain into purpose.

Our face covers  are hand made in Oakland, Ca made from our ultra comfortable eco-friendly fabric. They are Cotton + French Terry lined and color block style  to give it a signature TJ Kotton Collection look, feel and superior performance

Taylor Jay, began designing fashion for herself during a transitional period of her womanhood when her body was changing significantly in size and shape, and the fashion industry didn’t cater to her journey. She soon discovered that many other women shared the same experience, and what began as a journey of self-discovery has become a promise to all women to empower them with clothing that will adapt to their evolution.She has not only become a role model for her daughter, but for many women entrepreneurs on the rise.
