Support Military Kids!

We are building a global community of active, healthy kids who are equipped to deal with the stressors of military life (and make friends along the way!). 

Studies show that military kids have higher rates of mental illness than their civilian counterparts, with 1 in 4 being diagnosed with depression. This only increases during times of separation from a parent due to deployment or training. Another fact about kids in our country: 20% of our youth are considered obese. We’re fighting an uphill battle to get our kiddos outside and active versus glued to screens. According to the World Health Organization, less than 20% of kids today get the recommended amount of physical activity. 

You may be wondering how these statistics are related. It is proven that physical activity is directly related to positive mental and behavioral health. Purposeful movement increases dopamine and serotonin, the feel good or “happy” chemicals our bodies produce. Kids can't verbalize that they need to go for a run to clear their head; or need to get in a workout to relieve some stress. We as adults need to provide these opportunities and help combat these epidemics. 

At Tiny Troops Soccer, we are the first sport organization dedicated to military children. We have served over 25,000 military kids in 17 states and 3 countries near 50 installations. In our recent program survey, 94% of parents reported that their child had improved happiness and well-being; 63% had less anxiety when acclimating to a new duty station, and 92% had effective peer socialization that wouldn't have otherwise occurred. Additionally, we have employed over 500 military spouses, veterans, active duty service members, and children of servicemembers, creating an over $500,000 economic impact for military families. We provide the opportunity for those who may be limited in employment opportunities to once again provide monetarily to their families; have autonomy and purpose; and regain a sense of self-worth.

With your support, we will hire more members of the military community and serve more military kids. Specifically, we will be able to provide free soccer lessons for military children around the world.
