Our mission is to provide a safe haven and empower women who are victims of domestic violence and their children. Promoting independence by mentoring, educating & offering self sustaining resources.
Domestic Violence is the number one cause of homelessness in the United States. We are bridging the gap by providing a safe haven to prevent victims from experiencing homelessness.
1 in 3 women have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. That's estimated to be about 736 million women globally
Natalie’s Place believes in providing Holistic Trauma-Informed Care because it addresses the needs of a person both bio-psychosocial and spiritually by bringing value to the whole person, teaching them that they have survived their abuse and how to use the strengths they've adapted to heal from the trauma and thrive as an independent individual. Build a strong foundation for women and children to heal and gain in-dependency. We help women transition back into society with ease to have a productive life. Our ultimate goal is to stop the cycle of Domestic Violence. We achieve these objectives by offering a Personal Development Program called "The Me I Want To See". The program includes GED remediation and testing, Financial Literacy, Job Preparedness, Preventative Efforts Class, Mentorship and Holistic Mental Health Coaching.
We are seeking funding to assist in continuing our works in the community of providing a safe haven. We would use the funds for general operational expenses, such as the housing fee, utilities, supplies and services. We will also use funds for activities/outings geared towards cultivating healing and sisterhood, provided by our community partners at a discounted rate.
Natalie's Place Board of Directors consist of 4 members. We also have a Volunteer House Manager, Volunteer Client Advocate and a rosters of volunteers on call for services/resources we provide.
Thank you for all your support. It is greatly appreciated. You are saving lives by helping our cause.
