What does Soča mean?
The name Soča is inspired by the breathtaking Soča River in Slovenia. We had an unforgettable fly-fishing trip there together in 2018, and it left a lasting impression on us.
What’s in the initial collection?
Our initial collection includes a button-down shirt, sun shirt, and lightweight puffer jacket—each designed to offer a stylish and functional solution for fishing in varying climates.
- The button-down shirt is tailored to a sleek fit with unique embroidered embellishments making it just as stylish on the river as off.
- The sun shirt features a ¼ snap-down design with colored snaps that complement the fabric. It also includes a hood that fits comfortably on the head, accommodating both a ponytail and a hat. Did we mention that the fabric is made at the most amazing mill in Italy?!
- The puffer jacket features a puffed chest for warmth, while the sleeves are made from a different material designed to dry quickly—perfect for when you dip your sleeves in the water to unhook a fish.
How will the funds be used?
Your donation will help us with:
- Manufacturing – Your contributions will go directly toward material costs and US-based manufacturing expenses. Our budget reflects two key choices: producing our clothing line in the United States and keeping the initial production quantities small.
- Launching our Website – Your contribution will support the development of our website. This custom platform will enable us to attract and retain customers while leveraging the expanding global online retail market.
- Photography – Your contribution will directly support hiring a professional photographer to capture our products both in a studio setting and on the water.

And in San Francisco, it will be coastal cleanup of Point Isabel Regional Shoreline. We’ll take pictures and post on our Instagram page for proof.
