OUR STORY

In the age of so much revolutionary action, women of color are constantly overlooked and put in position to compete with one another. When women of color come together and decide to share their greatness, they are powerful beyond measure.  The 2nd Annual International Slumber Party is a one-of-a-kind virtual reality, 2D party with a purpose taking place in every time zone around the globe on July 31 - August 1, 2021. Designed to foster a narrative that validates, empowers, and elevates the global life experience of talented young women of color, aged 18-25, who are emerging leaders with great potential. 

Young women of color from across the globe will enter the doors of our virtual ISP mansion (this is not a ZOOM call) and navigate through 13 rooms with panels and speakers sharing content on:

- Women's Empowerment
- Mind, Body, and Soul Wellness 
- Leadership and Entrepreneurship
- Arts & Entertainment
- Fashion & Beauty
- Love & Relationships  

and MUCH more!

 
WHY IS THE INTERNATIONAL SLUMBER PARTY IMPORTANT TO YOUNG WOMEN OF COLOR?

 
At the International Slumber Party, we shine a bright light on the specific issues, interests, and matters of the heart of young women of color who are overlooked or pushed to the side. 

Hosted by Sister Diamonds' Co-CEOs, Crystal Khalil and Dr. Nicole LaBeach, the International Slumber Party aims to ensure young women of color, are able to:

- See their brilliance, feel what we see, and expect greater for themselves.
- Cultivate their personal and professional power to best manifest their purpose.
- Enjoy opportunities to play, laugh, learn, build trust, and experience emotional freedom.
- Practice greater self-compassion, self-love, and self-acceptance.

Our communities, cities, and nations are strengthened when we invest in the present and future possibilities of young women of color. Our intention is for every young woman to leave ISP empowered, with cutting edge information and a network of potential mentors, sponsors, and new sister connections around the world.

LAST YEAR'S SUCCESS!

In 2020, the International Slumber Party was fortunate enough to receive a total of 6,940 event views from 39 countries including Nigeria, South Africa, Brazil, Trinidad & Tobago, Liberia, and Somalia (to name a few), with 96% of attendees stating the event MET or EXCEEDED their expectations. In 2021,  ISP plans on increasing its participation to 50 countries with a total of 10,000 event views. We plan to introduce more global speakers and tackle critical issues our attendees can relate to. 

 
HOW WILL THE FUNDS RAISED BE USED? 

 
Our goal is to raise $350K so we can eliminate the cost barriers to our entire audience, especially young woman who need/desire to attend the experience but may not have the means to do so. Every year, ISP wants to give 10K young women ages 18-25, the opportunity to learn from people who see their potential and want to pay it forward on their behalf.
