What is the mission of your company or project?

SELFY MY SISTER'S KEEPER, is female identifying self-love organization for adolescents ages 12-21 that empowers, motivates, uplifts, and encourages adolescents to know that they are “Worthy and Enough."  We seek to create female-centered partnerships with the ultimate goal of activating SELF-Love via Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) tailored FOR YOU!  Our SELF-Love collective utilizes various methods to build confidence, self awareness, self acceptance and self-love. These methods are used to navigate what is arguably the most challenging years of their lives. 

Describe the problem you are solving.- 

• Teens have and will be faced with traumatic events, crisis and challenges, at some point in their adolescent years. SELFY My Sister's Keeper is a sisterhood providing Social & Emotional Learning in safe spaces/communities. By way of intimate circles we support identifying females with knowledge, tools and opportunities to tap into what it means to be a gatekeeper of their self-love when robust skills in self-acceptance, self-confidence, inner-peace, are accessible.

What is the market size/opportunity?- 

• We are seeking to connect with female identifying teens across NYC as our primary market.  We are seeking to bring My Sister's Keeper to upper middle-schools & high schools, female centered group homes, detention centers, shelters, varying after-school programs. Our programming can range from day/after-school programs as well as virtual/in-person. 

What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem?

• SELFY My Sister's Keeper, LLC., is a female identifying self-love collective utilizing various methods to build self-confidence, self-awareness,  self-acceptance, self-love, responsible decision-making skills, social awareness, and healthy relationships.  The Sisterhood of SELFY My Sister's Keeper is crucial as it helps to create friendships and peer support systems. SELFY My Sister's Keeper provides coping skills to the every day challenges that female adolescents are faced with such as; body shaming, bullying, self-acceptance, lack of confidence, depression, anxiety, stress management, etc., The female centered groups are designed to uplift, motivate, and encourage as well as reduce  any thoughts of lack of self-confidence, suicidal ideations, homicidal behaviors among other behaviors. #SELFLESSLYINLOVE 

Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?

• SELFY My Sister's Keeper is seeking funding for the following:  salaries, hiring staff and alumni, securing required resources & materials for a successful program training/marketing, secure excursions/community events, etc.).
• Social and Emotional Learning  activities that will support female identifying teens and overall mental health and well being .

Who is on your team?

• SELFY My Sister's Keeper, LLC.,  has a sisterhood that is made up of 6 African American Women who currently serve as consultants/volunteering their time and expertise. These 6 amazing women have been dedicated to supporting, serving, and educating students in NYC schools for over 15 years. The SELFY My Sister's Keepers consultants team consist of - Human Resources, Executive Assistant, Budget & Finance, Social & Emotional Facilitator, Social Media & Marketing Sales, and the Strategy/Programming & Operations. I would like to hire this team permanently because they all wear their hearts on their sleeve.
