How safe is the drug your vet just prescribed to your beloved pet, your "soulmate", your "buddy", your everything?
You probably don’t know. 

Your vet probably doesn’t either. 

Here's the reality:

New veterinary drugs are often introduced by pharmaceutical sales reps during quick lunch & learns or Zoom calls. These reps are salespeople, not doctors, driven by commissions - not patient outcomes.

And odds are, your vet never even told you the drug’s name, let alone its risks - or asked for your consent. In some states that's illegal.

The FDA?
They don’t test the drugs. And the data they rely on? It’s thin. Pre-market safety testing is typically outsourced by pharmaceutical companies and conducted on a small number of young, healthy pets, often fewer than 100. These test subjects don’t reflect the real-world patients who actually need these drugs - seniors, pets with chronic illness, or those recovering from surgery. Side effects in these vulnerable groups are often more severe - and the drugs are almost never tested alongside the other medications vets routinely prescribe.

The true risks don’t emerge until thousands of pets suffer or die.

The FDA relies entirely on drug company data, data the public never sees.
FOIA requests? Sure, if you're willing to wait months and pay for a heavily redacted report. The FDA doesn’t warn the public for years. They don’t warn your vet. They don’t even name the drug in their own safety data.

And 45% of the FDA’s budget? It’s funded by the very companies they’re supposed to regulate.
Understaffed and under pressure, the FDA rarely acts on post-market harm. Once a veterinary drug is approved, it’s nearly impossible to get it pulled from the market, or even to update its label. Pharmaceutical companies delay safety warnings because they fear lawsuits from investors - not from you.

When pressed, their PR statement is always the same - the drug was administered to millions of pets, and the number of deaths is statistically small. But here’s the truth - no one sees how many units were really sold. That number is deliberately hidden from the public. Pharmaceutical companies release it only under subpoena.

So when your pet suffers seizures, cancer, shock, organ failure - or worse - you’re left in the dark. And stuck with the bill. Thousands of dollars. No answers. No accountability.

Lawsuits? Useless. Pets are legally considered property, with no intrinsic value. We’ve been through it.

That’s what happened to us and to hundreds of other pet owners that we've spoken with.

That’s why we are building RiskSignalData - to expose the drug risks no one else will.

RiskSignalData.ai is designed to prevent avoidable animal deaths by transforming decades of drug safety data into real-time, AI-powered insight.

• We’re building the first AI drug safety platform for veterinary medicine, because although regulatory agencies collect drug safety data, there is no transparency into how - or even whether - that data is ever reviewed. 

• These agencies do not perform testing, do not run analytics, and do not use AI to recognize patterns of harm buried in the millions of records they receive. Nearly half of their funding comes from the very companies they regulate, and recent staffing cuts have made timely oversight even less likely. Meanwhile, 40 years of drug safety data exists - but remains buried. Regulatory drug safety files are unstructured, inaccessible, and difficult to analyze. There is no public-facing system that automatically flags drug risk patterns, alerts stakeholders, or helps prevent future harm.

• As a result, real-world signals, sometimes pointing to fatal risk, go unseen for months or years. Pet owners remain unaware. Veterinarians continue prescribing without updated insight. And the agencies responsible for oversight remain silent, with no visibility into their process or timelines.

• Our work has already been recognized by the National Science Foundation. This is early validation of a problem the industry has long ignored, and a signal that the time for a solution is now.

Our mission is to fix that. RiskSignalData.ai delivers independent, AI-powered analytics to bring these signals to light, so every decision-maker can act faster and more responsibly. This lack of visibility has life-or-death consequences. And no one else is solving it.

Our Product

We are designing a platform that will process decades of fragmented drug safety data, starting with FDA CMV, built on a Neuro-Symbolic AI (NeSy AI) framework. This hybrid AI model will allow us to structure safety data, identify meaningful relationships, and identify and flag early safety signals of risk that would otherwise remain hidden.

On the front end, we’ll integrate LLM-based natural language interface, enabling users to ask the questions quickly, so that pet owners, veterinarians, and other stakeholders can access meaningful insight without needing technical expertise.

Until now, there has been no intelligent or accessible way to understand how veterinary drugs perform post-market approval. RiskSignalData.ai is designed  to close that gap, with explainable, real-time insight designed for action.

Why Now

We’re raising funds to build the first working version of RiskSignalData.ai, an AI web-based platform that will help uncover risks in veterinary drugs by analyzing decades of real-world safety data.

Our Team

RiskSignalData.ai is founded and led by a technical product manager who has spent past 15 years building successful AI platforms for companies like Disney, LiveRamp, and others in high-scale, data-driven environments. She brings deep experience and skills now laser-focused on solving a problem in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry that has long been ignored.

After losing her cat Vitto to a new veterinary drug with no warnings from the pharmaceutical company or the veterinary team that handled Vitto's care, the founder made the decision to step away from enterprise tech and build something that didn’t exist: an application that brings life-saving transparency to animal drug safety data.

She’s joined by a lean but expert team:

• A team of developers with experience in full-stack development, database architecture, data visualization, and AI integration, bringing the technical foundation needed to build a platform that can handle large-scale safety data and deliver real-time insights through a clean, user-friendly interface.

• Advisory board includes experts in FDA regulatory compliance, biomedical research, and drug safety, with decades of experience spanning human and animal health, adverse event reporting, and scientific data integrity.

We’re intentionally lean and mission-driven. Every dollar goes directly into building the first public intelligence platform for post-market veterinary drug safety, designed to prevent the next tragedy before it happens again.
