Rescue Me Cafe and Books

Our mission is to cultivate a community where every purchase supports the welfare of animals in need. We envision a thoughtfully curated selection of books and a warm, inviting ambiance. Our goal is to create a space that celebrates our love for animals while providing education and resources for their well-being. During this developmental phase, each purchase will contribute to our ongoing efforts in animal rescue, rehabilitation, and advocacy. We are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of animals, one page and one paw at a time.

Every day, countless animals suffer due to neglect, abuse, or abandonment. Overcrowded shelters struggle to provide adequate care, and many animals face euthanasia due to lack of resources. Furthermore, education on proper animal care and welfare is often lacking, leading to preventable suffering. 

The market for animal rescue and education is substantial and growing. According to the ASPCA, approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year, highlighting the urgent need for resources and support. This is not including the numerous exotic species that are often surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. We hope to provide a home to all and find forever homes to those that legally qualify. 

Every purchase and fundraiser for Rescue Me Cafe and Books directly contributes to our rescue efforts and educational programs. Customers can support our mission to rescue animals, provide them with necessary medical care and training, and ultimately place them in loving forever homes. Additionally, our educational initiatives raise awareness about animal welfare issues, conservation efforts in the Southwest Florida area, and build a stronger community through book clubs and community engagement events. 

We are seeking funding to establish our rescue operations, and enhance our educational outreach programs. Your support will directly fund animal care, adoption events, educational workshops, and the development of a rescue facility, cafe and bookstore. 

How We Will Spend the Funding:

• Animal Rescue and Care: Medical treatment, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and rehabilitation.
• Educational Programs: Workshops, seminars, and school outreach programs.
• Brick and Mortar Facility: Opening a public location to reach more of the community and house more rescue animals.

Our team is composed of passionate individuals with diverse backgrounds in animal care, environmental conservation, hospitality, and education. Together, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on animal welfare and community education. Currently, our board members are best friends Jessica Falco and Caitlyn Hayes, and Greg Zecca. We also have dedicated volunteers who are all animal lovers that believe deeply in our mission.
