Realtor to Builder: Creating Homes That Matter

I started Trinity Homes Tx, LLC because I saw a need that couldn’t be ignored. As a licensed Realtor in Dallas, I’ve spent years walking alongside Black and Brown families who dream of owning a home—but are too often shut out due to rising prices, lack of information, or limited access to resources. I watched good people, with stable jobs and big hopes, get priced out of the neighborhoods they grew up in. That experience changed me.

Trinity Homes was born from a desire to do more than sell homes—I want to build them. My goal is to create high-quality, affordable homes that help families begin their journey to generational wealth through homeownership. This business is about building futures, not just foundations.

With the support of builder mentors, local trades, and a strong network, I’m ready to break ground on our first affordable home. This grant will help me purchase my first lot—a critical step toward showing what's possible when passion, purpose, and community come together.

There are challenges ahead—access to capital, navigating development as a first-time builder—but the need is too great to wait. My community deserves more than just hope; they deserve keys to a home they can call their own.

Even $10,000 would be a game-changer for me. I would use it to help purchase the lot for my very first affordable home with Trinity Homes Tx, LLC. It would go toward the land and early steps like surveys and permits—getting me one step closer to breaking ground.

I know I’ll need more—about $50,000 total—but I’m not waiting for perfect conditions. I’m moving forward with what I have, fueled by passion, community support, and the belief that every family deserves a chance at homeownership. This grant would help turn that belief into action.
