We envision a world where ALL PEOPLE are united through food. Every appetite, every approach, and every individual is not only welcomed, but EMPOWERED. So we’re building Foodquirk, the first food identity community and brand. SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Foodquirk is an online community (soon to be mobile app) where eaters and food creators recipe swap, create and commune all through how members specifically eat and cook - at a very personalized level. One part food personality quiz and one part personalized food community, members connect through their detailed food identity - their Food IQ, their FQ. Our vision for this community is a place where Food Creators can use web3 technology to rightfully own and distribute their food content (recipes, classes, meal plans, etc.) and Eaters can easily connect with creators that suit their food identity - WIN WIN! Foodquirk is in beta now (no web3 features quite yet...)! So please come over and join the early birds :):). WHY SHOULD EATERS AND FOOD CREATORS CARE? 1- Eaters Own Their Food Identity! Foodquirk will empower ANY food creator to mint (own) their unique content and rightfully earn (in perpetuity) from that content (no #sponsored #ad). Now combine that empowerment with direct access to eaters who are seeking your specific content. IMAGINE ONE PLACE Where food creators can forgo advertising. What are NFT's and why is Foodquirk doing an NFT collection?
An NFT, which stands for non-fungible token, is a unique unit of data employing technology that allows digital content - from images to videos to songs and yes... to recipes! - to become logged and authenticated on cryptocurrency blockchains, primarily Ethereum. The main impact of NFT's is making it easy to own and sell digital content. Many of the early NFT projects embody a certain level of identity to the buyer. For example, a particular piece of art that resonates with you because it may look like you or may hold certain traits or values that are of importance to you. But even more thrilling, these pieces of art represent other utility -- from exclusive access to VIP in-real-life experiences and are an exciting way to grow a community around a particular interest or mission.
Following our iFundWomen campaign, Foodquirk will be launching the NOMNIVORE PROJECT, the genesis collection of 6,789 hand-designed, digitally generated NFTs that highlight what it means to be truly accepted and appreciated for what we choose to create, serve, and savor when it comes to food. At Foodquirk, we embrace a different way of thinking and talking about how we cook and eat; one designed to celebrate our differences, remove labels and barriers, and foster true connections with oneself and others through food.
