We are the pen pals, the card senders, and the gift-giving-is-our-love language kind of people. 

We’ve sat down in the aisle at the drugstore, looking at card after card for that perfect one; we’ve waited in long lines to mail our carefully packaged gifts that we hope make it safe and sound; and we’ve sent that boring e-gift card that got lost in someone’s spam folder. 

We’ve all been there. And we decided to never be there again. So what did we do? We created PS Post.

What is PS Post?

PS Post is an e-commerce service that sends personalized greeting cards in the mail. The best part? we leverage QR code technology to allow the sender to add a digital gift for the recipient, like e-gift cards, video messages, nonprofit donations, and more. 

PS Post makes gift giving and staying in touch convenient, unique, and special again. 

We care about this beautiful earth of ours, which is why we only used recycled papers and partner with printers who have committed to more sustainable, environmentally friendly printing practices.

What’re the Greeting/Gift Markets Like?

Both the greeting card and gift card markets are HUGE and ripe for some innovation. 

More than 1.5 Billion gift cards are printed each year, creating $163 Billion in annual sales. This industry has also experienced a consistent, 11.7% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) over the last 5 years. These sales mean thousands of tons of new, non-recyclable plastic are created each year.

From an extensive, nation-wide customer discovery product, we have found that PS Post has strong appeal across generations and genders, creating a large market opportunity. Not only do people resonate with the idea and “need this like, yesterday,” but they also love our designs and messages. 

Why We’re Raising

We’re excited to get our service in the hands of eager customers. So far, we’ve been self-funding this business and keeping it lean, but we’re looking to raise $10,000 to help us:

• Fully stock our online store: we have almost 300 cards ready to be sent to a mailbox near you! We use a third-party printer for mass production and low unit costs, but this requires upfront ordering.  
• Invest in necessary, not-super-exciting infrastructure: In addition to the basics like G-suite for the whole team and stocking up on ink, we need to upgrade our AWS storage and hosting service to handle a larger volume of traffic and new gifting options.
