Postal Petals® isn't just a direct-to-consumer, immersive floral and wellness company – we're also the driving force behind a vibrant series of community wellness events. Our mission goes beyond delivering fresh cut blooms to your door for you to arrange; we're dedicated to nurturing connections and well-being of Black and brown communities. 

Postal Petals® operates similar to a farm-to-table produce box service, but exclusively for fresh cut flowers. With a network of over 20 local farms, we meticulously curate and deliver the finest, freshest flowers. These boxes contain bundles of cut blooms that customers can customize to align with their creative vision.

In a world where the potential of flowers often goes unnoticed, Postal Petals® is breaking down barriers and welcoming everyone to experience the transformative potential of flowers.

We're tackling this issue head-on. When we stick to old ideas about flowers, we miss out on their therapeutic powers. We're talking about the joy of arranging, the relaxation of creating, and the mindfulness of being in the moment. But we're not stopping there.

Our free community wellness events make sure everyone gets a seat at the table, proving that flowers don't discriminate.  It's time to ditch those "flowers are just for women" or "flowers are only for special days'  notions. Postal Petals® is shifting the narrative, demonstrating the practical use of flowers to discover your zen, express yourself, and connect with your inner calm.

Yoga, floral arranging, and mindfulness practices hold a unique significance within communities. They help to reduce stress, soothe anxious thoughts, and create a space where people can reconnect with themselves. By participating in these activities, community members can discover a pathway to inner calm and emotional balance, fostering a sense of empowerment and hope.

Postal Petals' free community wellness events provide a powerful avenue for neighbors to take control of their mental well-being, regardless of external limitations.

Postal Petals' community wellness events curate an environment that encourages fellowship, dialogue, and collaboration among community members. These gatherings become spaces where individuals from diverse backgrounds can connect, learn from each other's lived experiences, and establish a network of mutual support. As neighbors engage in activities like yoga, flower arranging, and meditation together, they naturally begin to form connections that extend beyond the event itself.

As the community blooms, a ripple effect extends well beyond aesthetics. This transformation sets off a chain of positive shifts, inspiring renewed pride and connection among residents. Neglected spaces now serve as gathering points, drawing people together for conversations and connections.

This blossoming community also ignites fresh dedication to local initiatives. Residents engage more actively, taking charge of their surroundings and participating in events that elevate the neighborhood. This proactive involvement strengthens bonds and fosters a safer, more vibrant environment overall.

 As a SoCal native, I've always been surrounded by music, art, culture, and the vibrant beauty of nature. My love for flowers is deeply rooted in my own realization that I have been using flowers all wrong. Flowers are not merely a product to be gifted for special occasions like birthdays, Valentine’s Day, or Mother’s Day. Flowers are meant to be experienced through the meditative yet creative process of preparing and arranging them.
 

Amidst a period in my life seeking solace, I stumbled upon the meditative practice of flower arranging. Its profound impact sparked the founding of Postal Petals® in 2020 – a fusion of my drive for change with my passion for art, culture, wellness and flowers. Within arranging, I found not just an artistic outlet, but a tranquil sanctuary. My mission: to introduce everyone to the allure of fresh-cut blooms and the peaceful art of do-it-yourself flower arranging, a meditative practice fostering mindfulness and boundless creativity.

In the last eighteen months, Postal Petals® has partnered with other leaders in the community to deliver free immersive self-care experiences to the Los Angeles community. Looking ahead, Postal Petals® is dedicated not only to sustaining LA based community wellness events but also expanding the offering to other cities nationwide. However, there are considerable costs involved that make expanding and underwriting the free program challenging. 

Community Wellness Events: Through monthly free events, Postal Petals® introduces a transformative experience that seamlessly weaves together the harmonious practices of yoga, meditation, and the art of floral arranging.

We welcome women, men, and children to partake in the enriching practices of mindfulness, meditation, and self-care. Regardless of background or experience level, these events foster a sense of unity, allowing participants to connect, learn, and grow together. Our community wellness events are not just about individual growth; they're about cultivating a shared experience that nourishes the body, mind, and soul. Best of all, these events are free of charge, ensuring that everyone has access.

• Floral Healing Programming: At Postal Petals®, we're dedicated to forming partnerships with essential community establishments like schools, youth centers, shelters, rehabilitation facilities, and law enforcement agencies. Our goal is to use the therapeutic elements of flower arranging to foster mental well-being within these organizations. To further amplify the effectiveness of our efforts, we're collaborating with licensed mental health professionals to create floral healing curriculums.

Neighborhood Beautification: Floral art installations in underserved neighborhoods infuse bursts of color, art, and texture, transforming beautification deserts into vibrant oases.  They  also educate residents about the positive effects of having access to the infectious beauty of fresh flowers. These installations play a crucial role in creating beautiful and welcoming spaces where individuals from these communities can not only see themselves reflected in the vibrant blooms but also feel a sense of belonging and comfort. Furthermore, these initiatives create opportunities for meaningful partnerships with fresh produce programs, reinforcing the holistic well-being of the community.
