Renewlogy has the technology to break down plastics into its basic molecular form, where it can then be reused for other products or as fuel.
The Problem
Only 8% of plastic in the U.S. is currently recycled. I learned about the issue first-hand almost a decade ago, when I spent a summer in India during grad school at MIT working alongside electronic waste pickers. I was shocked to learn that most of their plastics were being dumped in the environment or openly burned. This devastating realization spurred me to action in search for a better solution.
Our Solution
Our goal is to deploy our technology in recycling facilities across the country. Our next project will be installed at the City of Phoenix’s recycling facility. Our target market in the U.S. is over $7 Billion, and we are currently the only company able to offer small modules that can bolt onto these recycling centers.
