Project Description
When I first started The Parent Diary, I produced a range of eco friendly products for kids, that I wasn't able to find elsewhere. The world is drowning in plastic and other waste and I'm determined to promote only products that are good for the earth and for families.
After a successful Kickstarter for our all-silicone lunch box, I began the search for other products to add to our range. Throughout this process I met other amazing makers and creators of eco-friendly and organic products who each have their own wonderful story of how they began on the journey of becoming more earth-centered. This is what inspired me to create The Parent Diary Marketplace, to help parents, like ourselves, find the best earth-friendly products we all use every day, and encourage more mindful spending and less waste, by sharing the products and stories of all the eco warriors out there.
Since starting the marketplace earlier this year, I've added 40 new small manufacturers and producers of eco friendly products. But, the process is slow, as I'm currently fulfilling all the roles in my business. The funding from my IFW campaign will allow me to outsource various tasks, giving me the time I need to continue bringing on board new sellers and further develop the marketplace.
I'm encouraging everyone to make just one small change, be it your dental floss, lunch box, moisturizer or any of the wonderful products we have at The Parent Diary.
