Project Description
Palette Pots is a hub designed for plant parents to provide planter pots and accessories in vibrant colors that fit a planter's space, vibe, and aesthetic. Palette Pots is bringing color to the world of plants!
My name is Latrice, and I founded Palette Pots in June 2020. My mission is to help bring more color, sustainable and functional planter pots to the market. Plant parents are limited to a few colors, styles, and planter pots with no drainage holes for their plants. They struggle to find accessories that fit their mood and personality in their personal space.
The usual options are: The plastic nursery pot, traditional Orange Terracotta, or they're too expensive.
In the last couple of months, the houseplant sector saw an increase in sales at garden centers across the country, increasing 23.5% compared to the previous year. Refractory material accounted for the largest gardening pot market share of more than 40.0% in 2021, but a fraction of that percentage included gardening pots that come in primary color palettes.
Palette Pots solves this by providing pots made with high-quality ceramic and porcelain material that comes in various colors and styles. All planters come with drainage holes which makes plant care easier, eliminates the DIY hassle of drilling your own hole, and risks damaging a pot. The pots are sustainable and environmentally friendly to both the plant parents and the plant!
Why am I crowdfunding?
My goal is to raise $30,000 to fund the continued production of vibrant color planter pots, shipping, growing our inventory for larger pots, and the development of a new collection of self-watering plant pots! We're currently on WestElm.com, Food52.com, and our upcoming partnership with Nordstrom. This funding will help meet customer demands for beautiful pots and make sure we have continued inventory on our site and in partner stores!

- You should be receiving your rewards by mid-July. If you chose the portrait photo shoot in NYC, an update will be sent out on a selection of dates that works for you, along with the location, by mid-July.
- Why are you crowdfunding?
- I am crowdfunding to help sustain and continue to grow Palette Pots in the plant and home decor space. Palette Pots has brought so much joy to people's homes and opened people up to plant care. I want to make sure that we continue building a community where we can all share our love of plants, color, and vibrancy.

Each backer who buys a palette pot(s) will have the opportunity to also have a photoshoot with their plant + palette pot. This will take place in a photo studio in Brooklyn and the photo will be taken by a professional photographer. This reward includes a 7-8 inch plant available, a digital copy of your photo, The Mug in large, and a feature on our IG + FB and e-newsletter with the photo!
This would be a learning session of 5 people per session where plant parents can interact, learn and ask questions while repotting their plant in their new Palette Pot! Each session would be 1 hour max. Each person attending will receive a Palette Pot, soil and an easy plant to repot. This is perfect for team building for your company or great event for friends! The sessions can either be virtual or in-person if located in NY. Limited spots available.
