Project Description
Populace's Youth Empowerment Programs, Aspire to Develop and Next Gen Cities, aim to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to become mission-driven leaders, social entrepreneurs, and community-focused real estate developers.
The Problem:
The key cities we focus on, Memphis, Nashville, Dallas, and Houston, have a growing number of disengaged youth, often from gentrified and marginalized communities, that are feeling hopeless and disconnected. This lack of opportunity contributes to rising youth-led crime and is segmenting these communities. It's time to invest in our young people by providing them with the tools and opportunities to become leaders and change-makers.

About Populace
Populace Community Strategy, is a consulting firm that bridges culture, community, and language for real estate developers, municipalities, and nonprofits, to create thriving communities. And a champion for youth empowerment.What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? Our Fundraising Goal and Use of Funds
We’re raising $90,000 to hire one program director and four regional program coordinators, one in each of our four key cities, purchase program materials, and enhance our marketing.
The Team
Dominique is the navigator of a network of consultants and experts that work with her clients, in community and economic development. The youth empowerment programs have mentors and volunteers, as well.
