New in Nashville Podcast
Big city lifestyle, small town charm

Project Description
As a Nashville Native, the growth here is exciting, to say the least. Getting to know the cities I have lived in and have traveled to has always been a personal passion. I have been able to leverage this passion in my career to represent emerging businesses in finding brick & mortar locations and representing landlords in finding tenants that best fit their spaces. As a yoga instructor and as an advocate for making Nashville a more walkable and bikable city, I have had the opportunity to meet a variety of people who are eager to know their city on a deeper level.
Growing up in Nashville has given me a front row seat to appreciate the wonderful changes that have taken place in recent years. I have also lived in Los Angeles and Washington D.C. where I gained exposure to many emerging concepts that are looking to Nashville for new locations. Since I moved back to Nashville, I have had friends, family, and co-workers ask where I gained my market knowledge on neighborhoods in the urban core. I began to realize that information gained as the result of my interests is valuable to other people who also want to know the best places to live, shop and eat but don’t have time to keep up with the overwhelming volume of information on a growing and rapidly changing city like Nashville.
New in Nashville is all about people. It is about the people who make up this city - native and transplants, residents and tourists. The goal is to highlight local businesses and to encourage Nashvillians to experience their city in a new way. Much of the information we will be covering can be found in the Nashville Business Journal, Nashville Post, or Eater, but the goal is to provide this information in an audio medium allowing listeners to stay up to date on their evolving city even when they are on the go or have a limited amount of time. Information will be presented in a categorical format. For example, some episodes will highlight a specific neighborhood, while others will highlight a particular type of food. I am planning to release one 15-20 min episode per week and one bonus episode per month (a longer episode where a business owner is interviewed).
While I hope to gain podcast subscribers, listeners will also have the chance to pick and choose to listen to the topics that interest them most. This podcast will highlight businesses that appeal to people from a variety of demographics and will be for anyone with a desire to authentically experience Nashville.

The Campaign FAQs
Potential risks include running out of funding before finding a partner to help us cover costs. Starting out I plan to only do sponsorships via advertisements rather than brand integration sponsorships. I feel this will keep the podcast in its most authentic form and will help me avoid bias. However, if funding runs dry in the months to come, careful and contentious brand integration will be considered. As a first time podcaster, I also know I am up against a learning curve. Thus, I have chosen to instill the services of a professional audio engineer so that I can focus on the content.
