Project Description
- My mission is to impact change in the lives of others. I want to help others to know their worth and love themselves in the bodies that they are in.
- As a plus size woman, I see the struggles that the plus size community deal with. From lack of clothes that fit properly and are affordable to struggling to feel comfortable in a restaurant. This takes a toll on a person, mentally and emotionally. My goal is to help change how the plus size community feels about themselves.
- Self-love and self -worth is not something that is taught in schools. It is something that needs to be taught-ideally starting at a young age.
- I am a certified Life Coach and currently host 3 podcasts that all share some part of my goal. While one podcast, This Fat Girl Life, focuses on a family conversation so that the younger generation can listen to is...I also have a podcast, called Big Beautiful Badasses that is geared more towards the adult community...meant to celebrate the plus size community.
- I am seeking funding so that I can upgrade my equipment and softwares. Funding will also allow me to recruit bigger name guests with the intention of making a larger impact. Right now, I am using older equipment (such as a 2012 MacBook) because it was what I could afford at the time.
- I am the only person on my team.
