Our mission

To empower black women + girls to be confident within themselves regardless of their hair texture or skin complexion.

The Problem

As a mom and mentor, I was that little black girl growing up who was insecure about how others saw me and how I saw myself. I didn't want any other little girl or woman to feel this way.  I want them to know they are ALWAYS enough!

Mygani's Solution

 Mygani creates products that not only look great, but also empower black women to live naturally confident lives. Our product line features custom illustrations of black women with naturally curly hair. Seeing themselves in a positive light increases their confidence. Carrying our products are a reminder of that confidence they have within themselves. Our brand is not just products, it's a lifestyle.

Since 2015, Mygani has positively impacted women + girls of color through their product line, signature platforms, and collaborations. Their signature event Curls and Convo™ is designed to empower women + girls to be confident within themselves regardless of their hair texture or skin complexion.  To date they have empowered with over 600 women + girls of color in their local community.

Their signature platform Mompreneur Marketplace™, an online mentoring platform designed to support mompreneurs in the unique issues moms face raising a family while growing a business: In 2020 Mygani had the unique opportunity to collaborate with a local Jacksonville show, Rivercity Live, to highlight positive stories of black mom and women owned businesses in the community. This was an intentional collaboration to address all the social injustice in 2020.

About the Founder

Hello! My name is Felicia Wright and I am the owner + designer of Mygani LLC. As a woman of color and mentor I know first hand the challenges we face in our professional and personal journeys. I was that girl growing up who was insecure about her looks and how other people saw her which negatively effected my mindset and self -esteem. 

At an early age. I aspired to own my own company. A former employer once asked me what level I wanted to achieve in the company, to which I quickly responded, CEO. My passion and interest has always centered on creativity in designing new and innovative images. I also had a deep concern about the portrayal of black women in the media. My desire to alter and ultimately improve society's views of women in a positive light,  fueled my enthusiasm to work with and mentor young women especially minorities.

So in 2015 I created the company's signature product line using my expertise as a graphic designer. My goal is to use my voice in the designs I create to empower other women and young girls who look like me. We currently have over 30 products including: handbags, travel bags, mugs, home decor and yoga mats.

Why am I raising money?

I am raising money on IFundWomen to finance production of our signature product line. My goal is to expand the brand into national retail stores and specialty boutiques. I have some really unique rewards with exclusive access to NEW products and special promotions for you to be part of our journey on this campaign.
