“Mother’s Day isn’t just in May” Expo provides mother’s the opportunity to feel celebrated outside of Mother’s Day as they enjoy wellness activities, music, comedy, food and spirits while shopping with vendors. The uniqueness of this ticketed event isn’t centered on it solely being dedicated to mothers, to be a featured vendor, the business must be a female owned entity, ideally a “Mom-Preneur” shop providing services that cater to women. Mother’s Day isn’t just in May is a celebratory environment providing gifts to a set number of deserving mothers, and a scholarship to a single mother returning to post-secondary education or trade school.

Last year, this event acted as the CHBM Services Development Programming L3C launch party, with 10 vendors, a Comedic host, DJ, unlimited wine and a fashion show that catered to moms who are movers and shakers. This year we’re bringing everything back with exception to the fashion show. We’re focusing on women wellness activities. Last year we sold a little over 50, $25 tickets. This year our target is 50, $55 tickets with 25% of each sell going towards a scholarship/grant for a single mom returning to college/trade school.

What is the relevance of Mother's day being celebrated outside of May? Most mom's have to choose between being celebrated or celebrate their mother on the traditional May holiday. Ironically, we don't get the full opportunity to do the things we love for ourselves. This event brings everything that women love to one place and provides that opportunity.
